History & Mission True West Paints is located four miles west of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada on 160 acres of pasture. We are within twenty minutes of a major airport with good connections to Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto. Our farm currently stands one stallion and runs a broodmare band of about 12 mares. Ten years ago, it started out as (and has remained) a small family run business. Our interests, as well as our clients' lie in a variety of equine disciplines and because of this we maintain a mix of horses that carry the bloodlines of several disciplines. Our successes have been in producing winners in Pleasure, Longeline, Halter, Hunters and Reining. We are equally proud of the progeny that trail ride, Team Pen, and take the kids safely to 4H and Pony Club. All are great ambassadors for us as breeders and for the American Paint Horse in general. Mission Statement Our goal at True West Paints is to produce horses that are athletic and willing mounts for all kinds of riders and disciplines. We have carefully selected our stock from established breeders and proven family lines of horses. By doing this, we hope to produce horses that have the conformation and genetics to be superior performers in a variety of events. In addition, we hope that their class and color will set them apart even more.
